Small Generator Creates Big Power
Many boat owners are trying to minimize expenses, but that doesn’t mean they have to sacrifice an onboard generator. Next Generation Power offers an ultra-compact, lightweight UCM1-3.5 diesel generator for small- to medium-sized vessels.
With a 7-hp, single-cylinder Kubota EA330 engine, the UCM1-3.5 provides 3,500 watts of power, while consuming less than 2/10 gph of fuel on average. It operates at mid-speed, producing less noise, vibration and wear than units that run at 3,600 rpm. A self-tensioning belt and rigid engine-to-generator attaching plate enable the UCM1-3.5 to run at 2,800 rpm.
The UCM1-3.5 measures 30 inches long by 18 inches wide by 16-1/2 inches high and weighs 200 lbs. with sound enclosure. The suggested price is $6,495.
