A Versatile Electric Outboard Motor

Light, quiet and odor-free, electric outboard motors are a convenient and economical alternative to a traditional gasoline-powered engine. Flover electric outboard motors are easy to rig and have a range of adjustments to accommodate a wide selection of vessels.

Most boats that are designed for use with a motor have some kind of rigid transom pad built-in. But for those without, such as a canoe, owners can use a commonly available universal mount that clamps to the hull.

Once the motor's bracket is firmly attached to the boat, the angle is adjusted to ensure the shaft is as vertical as possible. It should then be extended so that the propeller is completely under water.

Boaters simply connect the red motor lead to the positive terminal on the battery and the black to the negative side. The outboard is now ready for use — it's that easy.

Electric outboards are usually run off of a common 12-volt marine battery. Higher quality units offer greater longevity and maximum power. Many boaters prefer to store their batteries in a weatherproof box that makes carrying it easier.

Many Flover models come with an LED charge indicator. When the power level gets low, a charger is used to bring the battery back to full strength.

Flover engineers and manufactures six sizes of electric marine outboard motors, from 33 to 55 pounds of thrust. Fresh and saltwater models and options such as telescoping handles are available.

Speakers Create An Audio/Visual Show

Light and sound always make for a good show. Boat owners can bring both to their deck with the MB Quart Nautic Waketower Speakers available from Prospec Electronics. Both the 6-1/5-inch NT1-116 and 8-inch NT1-120 are available with or without the RGB LED lighting system, combining the best in audio and visual.

Both models use the same enclosure so owners can mix and match sizes with a clean and symmetrical look. A centering ring allows adjustment to the speaker's position so it's always right-side up, regardless of where it is mounted.

Each illuminated speaker, models NT1-116L and NT1-120L, includes a one-of-a-kind circuit board with 18 LEDs that project a combination of colors onto the speaker cone, creating a cool light show with strobe and program options. The N1-RC wireless remote control, sold separately, adjusts color, brightness and speed with the push of a button on all MB Quart speakers aboard.

These tower speakers feature a recessed mounting system where part of it is within the speaker enclosure. This reduces the height of the system by as much as 6 inches over competitive products. For flexible installation, 11 hardware options from 1.5 inches to 2.75 inches are included.

These waketower speakers boast a longer life against harsh conditions. Protected against sun fade with a UVA paint coating, conformal coated crossover components protect against fresh and salt water spray as well as dust and sand.

The enclosure features internal steel reinforcement. Its heavy-duty ABS cast provides durability and improved bass response with increased volume, while remaining very light.

Small, Quiet Macerator Toilet

The average head in a small- to mid-sized boat is a tight space. Boat owners replacing or upgrading a marine sanitation device appreciate the reduced size and big performance of the Tecma Nano. It's the smallest macerator toilet available.

The Tecma Nano has reinvented the marine toilet market for both OEM and refit. Boating Industry, a leading marine trade magazine, named it a Top Product of the Year.

Built of fine, Italian china, the toilet is an elegant addition to any boat. It makes the most confined spaces feel larger, and with an ergonomic 17.5-inch by 14.6-inch seat, it's the perfect balance between comfort and size.

Using its control panel, water flow is adjusted from 0.1 to 0.7 gallons per flush. With its low power draw, the Tecma Nano will conserve valuable onboard resources. It has a fast flush cycle and is virtually silent.

The Tecma Nano is completely self-contained. Hidden within the toilet is a powerful clog-resistant macerator, turbine and inlet pump. It's capable of both raw and pressurized flushing. Two check valves and a water trap ensure there are no odor issues.

Without the need to replace gaskets or seals, or accommodate a vacuum pump, installation is easy. It weighs less than 39 pounds and is easily mounted on a step base.
