Durable Rope Keeps Boat In Place

With Soft Lines’ Boat Locator Dock Lines, owners will locate their boat in the same position every time.

These permanent docking lines have loops on both ends for attaching to cleats. Owners should use a short locator line for initial docking and then a complete set for the rest of their docking needs.

When using Soft Lines’ Boat Locator Dock Lines, owners make an allowance for the cleat on the boat and the dock using standard docking methods.

Boat Locator Dock Lines are manufactured from multi-filament polypropylene rope, which makes them soft and flexible. These 3/8-inch, 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch lines are available in lengths of 2 to 30 feet or custom lengths.

Prices start at $12.04.

Boat horns are an important safety item, but boat owners don’t have to sacrifice beauty for function. Schmitt & Ongaro Marine Products has enhanced its stylish line of single and dual trumpet horns with moisture-blocking resins and lubricants.

The sounding unit is sealed with an engineered resin to block moisture intrusion. Electrical contacts within each horn’s rear sounding unit are also protected with a conductive lubricant, which prevents oxidation. Owners no longer need to disassemble and clean a horn’s electrical contacts.

Schmitt & Ongaro’s horns use 304 stainless steel inside and out, including the sealed sound unit. Prices start at $107.85 for the Deluxe Stainless Steel Shorty Single Trumpet model.

Fast DIY Fix For Faded Boat Seats

When the engine runs clean but the upholstery and cushions are stained or faded, preserve the value and look of boat upholstery and vinyl surfaces without expensive replacement costs.

Marine Upholstery Fabric Paint and Marine Vinyl Cote, from Simply Spray’s Hammerhead line, is a non-toxic aerosol paint specially formulated to change the color or bring the vibrancy back without changing the texture.

Unlike traditional aerosol spray paints, the paints are non-toxic, non-flammable, virtually odorless, nitrogen propelled and eco-friendly.

Made in America, the marine spray is permanent and will not rub off on clothes. It keeps materials soft to the touch, which is different from traditional spray paints that harden and stiffen soft fabrics such as cotton, linen or canvas.
