Wet Paws Or Dry, Dogs Are Safer With Bombora

There are dogs that can’t seem to stay out of the water and those that prefer to keep their paws dry. Whether its human companion is boating, paddling, swimming or lounging poolside, pups are safer when wearing a Bombora Dog Life Vest. Four sizes fit dogs from extra small to up to 90 lbs.

The key to canine apparel is comfort. The lightweight Bombora Dog Life Vest naturally contours to the body and allows for unrestricted movement – both in the water and on shore. The vest is covered in a soft yet durable polyester. Layered and segmented foam provides flotation and underbelly protection. A padded and adjustable neck collar and three Delrin quick-release buckles allow for a custom fit and easy donning.

Designed by dog owners, the Dog Life Vest features a sewn-in leash D-ring and a large padded and reinforced webbing grab handle. Side pockets are perfect for storing leads, treats, poop bags and other essential gear.

The Bombora Dog Life Vest is available in two color combinations: Tidal turquoise/white and Sunrise blue/yellow/red. The Extra Small model fits dogs up to 12 lbs.; the Small version is for pups 12-24 lbs.; the Medium size is for 24-60 lbs.; and the Large model is for dogs 60-90 lbs. They cost $58.

Compass Designed Specifically For Paddlers

Few things are as disorienting to a paddler as losing sight of landmarks due to fog or rain. In times like these, it’s critical to have a magnetic compass such as the XP-99 Kayaker from Ritchie Navigation. The deck-mounted device provides true heading, even when stopped – something a small GPS unit can’t do.

Made in the USA, the low-profile Kayaker XP-99 is available with a black or blue 2.75-inch direct-reading dial. This is set atop a hardened steel movement with a scientifically-matched sapphire bearing. Ritchie’s DirectiveForce magnet system provides fast and smooth heading lock-on, even in rough water. It’s offered with a rugged black or white composite housing.

Designed for paddlers, the Kayaker XP-99 compass features a course minder movable bezel with a heading memory indicator to make staying on track easy. For dim and dark conditions, an optional LED lighting kit is simple to install.

For owners who don’t want to permanently install the compass, the available K-TD.2 Kayaker Tie Down allows the Kayaker XP-99 to be used without drilling holes. It attaches the device to the kayak using four high-strength bungee cords with integrated clips. A foam pad conforms to the shape of the deck and prevents the compass from moving.

Backed by a five-year warranty and 100% repairable, the Ritchie Navigation Kayaker XP-99 costs $125.39. The K-TD.2 Kayaker Tie Down is $58.25.

Dive Tanks Secured: Hit The Throttle

Often weighing over 30 pounds, scuba tanks are dangerous to people and gelcoat if left unsecured. For the boat owner who might also enjoy fishing and tow sports, drilling holes and permanently installing a bracket doesn’t make sense. But the SeaSucker Pro Series Dive Rack does. Mounted temporarily to any non-porous surface, it’ll firmly secure a heavy dive tank – even in rough sea conditions.

The holding power in the Pro Series Dive Rack comes from SeaSucker’s innovative 4.5-inch Vacuum Mount. Unlike a common industrial suction cup, it’ll secure 210 pounds for long stretches of time. Simple and quick to mount, it’s easy to boost the vacuum as needed when the power bar displays orange. And when it’s time to stow, it removes without leaving a mark.

Made in the USA from marine-grade polymers with stainless steel hardware, the Pro Series Dive Rack is built to last. Anodized aluminum bungee cord knobs make transforming the device into a multi-tank setup simple. A single SeaSucker Pro Series Dive Rack costs $99; the two-pack is $189; three are $279; and the four-pack runs $369.

New Touch-Capable Courtesy Light Also Networks

The new CLS Courtesy Light from Shadow-Caster upends how people think about onboard LED lighting. With its elegant backlit touch sensor, it’s easy to turn it on and off and adjust the brightness with the stroke of a fingertip. Plus, the fixture easily networks into with any Shadow-Caster Light Commander Series controller, making it remotely adjustable – a real plus when descending steps into a dark cabin while underway. Nominated for an NMMA Innovation Award, the CLS Courtesy Light debuted at IBEX, Oct. 1-3, Tampa, Florida.

Shadow-Caster’s CLS Courtesy Light is offered in a cool white version that’s perfect for general illumination and full RGBW for unlimited accent colors. It has up to 400 lumens of 160° diffuse white LED light with minimal glare which lets it double as a task light for larger areas. A two-second ramp-up feature provides refined startup.

The CLS Courtesy Light has a 4.25-inch x 2-inch 316 stainless steel cover with hidden mounting hardware for a clean and modern aesthetic. IP67-rated, the fixture is ideal for interior and certain exterior locations.

Shadow-NET enabled, the CLS Courtesy Light is simple to connect to Shadow-Caster’s Shadow-Net BUS. This allows the fixture to integrate with other communication protocols such as Ethernet and Wi-Fi to be individually addressed for controlling the light’s color and intensity.

Running on 12V DC, the light draws a maximum 300mA. Shadow-Caster’s full-color CLS Courtesy Light model SCM-CLS-RGBW-SS costs $69; the cool white version SCM-CLS-CW-SS is $59.
