Timothy Allen Booth

September 12, 1957 – September 25, 2024

It is with a heavy and broken heart that we announce the passing of one of our own. Timothy Allen Booth has passed away after a valiant battle with AML. A graduate of Sparks High School in Sparks, NV, Tim soon discovered his passion for printing, a craft he dedicated himself to since the age of 19. Prior to his recent retirement, he played a pivotal role in our daily printing operations and was a valued member of the Recreation Publication family for 18 years.

Tim will be deeply missed by everyone, particularly by his cherished wife, Candice Booth. She fondly remembers their wedding, which they had just celebrated their 29th anniversary on September 9, 2024. The Great Reno Balloon Races will always be a significant part of their anniversaries.

Although Tim couldn’t be physically present at this year’s event, Candice was comforted that he could watch the races from his hospital bed. The Reno Balloon Races have a special significance for them, marking the place where they were married 29 years ago in “The Little White Chapel in the Sky” balloon during the races.

Survived by his wife Candice O’ Connor Booth, Sister Peggy Locke of Carson City and Barbara Sprenger of Reno, Brothers Tommy Booth and Ray Bilbrey. Children Jake Booth, Mollie Dunn, and Kris Booth (deceased.) Nephews and Nieces including Peggy’s son Ben Locke.

During this challenging time, we at Recreation Publications extend our deepest condolences to Tim’s family and to all who knew him. We hope that in time, the cherished memories of Tim’s smile and kind spirit will ease the pain of loss and bring comfort to those who mourn.
