Delta Marine Sales Adds A Third Location
Tony Faso, owner of Delta Marine Sales and Delta Marine Yacht Center in Stockton has announced the opening of their third sales location in the heart of the Delta at Willow Berm Marina.
The office is adjacent to the Willow Berm Marina office and has forever been known as Delta Yacht Sales prior to the recent retirement of Broker Tom Trainor. The usual friendly faces of sales teammates Peter Moore and his wife Kathleen Moore will still be there to provide their decades of experience and expertise. Having run charter vessels up and down the entire West Coast and having handled more than a thousand successful yacht transactions, this husband and wife team promises to continue their high level of service and local knowledge to help all clients with their needs.
Also staying aboard is expert Associate Broker, Nina Ankelé. Having owned her own local brokerage Brittania Yacht Sales for years prior, she then worked with the team at Delta Yacht Sales for over a decade. Nina has over 40 years of experience in the industry and is one of the first women to acquire a California brokerage license. Owner Tony Faso states that the addition of this expert team and the strategic location of Willow Berm has him as excited as ever.
There will be additional news coming regarding the Delta Marine Sales location at Village West Marina, but we can circle back to that in upcoming issues.

ShoreMaster, HydroHoist And Neptune Boat Lifts Unite As Waterfront Brands
ShoreMaster, LLC, which merged with HydroHoist, LLC in 2019 and acquired Neptune Boat Lifts in 2020, announced today that the portfolio has rebranded under the umbrella title Waterfront Brands. Collectively, Waterfront Brands offers the most comprehensive suite of waterfront products, for both fresh- and salt-water, in North America. Invision Capital remains an equity partner as the portfolio looks to continue expansion into North American marine markets.
As part of the unification, Don Hurley, current President/CEO of ShoreMaster, will be named Chief Executive Officer of Waterfront Brands. Hurley will oversee the portfolio’s executive team as well as the infrastructure for all of the portfolio’s brands.
Robert Castillo, Managing Director of Invision Capital, states, “Don is an incredibly passionate champion of the waterfront equipment industry and these brands. His work in leading change and assembling an experienced and knowledgeable team has resulted in tremendous growth and continued opportunity for the portfolio as a whole.”
“Together, under the Waterfront Brand’s umbrella, we will draw on decades of experience from our teams to continue to provide the industry’s highest quality products matched with unparalleled service and support,” said Don Hurley, CEO of Waterfront Brands. “In addition to assembling the most influential portfolio of waterfront products in the world, Waterfront Brands’ vertical operational platform has been designed for growth. This will enable expansion into new markets as well as provide further support and opportunities for our existing dealers, marine contractors and marinas.”
The Waterfront Brands leadership team will be rounded out with an experienced team from within the existing brands. J&H Marine Offers More
J&H Marine located at 401 N. San Jose St., Stockton, CA has been servicing boat engines and all things related for 44 years. Owner since 2005, Eric Koster and his crew have maintained, rebuilt or repaired countless jobs to the complete satisfaction of their customers.
Having been certified by Cummins years ago, the technicians are also well adapted at working on Volvo Penta, Mercury Marine and Caterpillar motors.
Just recently, J&H Marine has been authorized by Volvo Penta to start working on their famed IPS Drive systems and should have complete factory certification come summer of 2021 if not beforehand. This comes as a great relief to many boat owners as the popularity of the Volvo Penta IPS Drives has grown to huge numbers and many of the vessels of the Bay and Delta are equipped with them. It is an amazing drive if you are not familiar with it but aside from the performance, should it ever have issues, we are now given another location for repairs made with knowledge and confidence.
In addition, Mercury Marine and Caterpillar have also authorized for the shop to become a Factory Certified location of which the certification should be completed in the same time frame before summer of this year.

Well Known Delta Broker Retires
Tom Trainor has taken advantage of a time in our industry to do as many hope to do, in saying farewell while on top of his game. Success has followed him in every aspect of his professional career in the marine industry, even without the record number of yachts sold in 2020 as a whole.
Forty-four years ago was the start of Tom’s journey in our industry and he made his mark known in every step of it. Fourteen years at Hoigs Marine where he sold Sea Ray, Seaswirl, Boston Whaler, Four Winns and Carver boat lines. Another thirteen years between Harrison’s and MarineMax where he was involved with Sea Ray, Seaswirl, Malibu, Bluewater, MB Sports, Riva and Ferretti. Tom wore many hats during these years, but even when the responsibilities of manager were called upon, he was always a genuine salesman at heart.
When the urge called to start his own business and wear all the hats, Tom established Delta Yacht Sales at Willowberm Marina where it ran as a successful brokerage during the whole seventeen-year tenure. Not only were brokerage vessels available, but for several years Tom was the dealer for the Navigator line as well.
Mr. Trainor also served the California Yacht Brokers Association, not only as a member, but also as a vocal activist, board member and three-term president. There are to this day, many programs that are active and thriving due to his contributions to the CYBA.
With both Tom and Debbie Trainor retired, their plans at this time are to travel the country in their beautiful land yacht and golf when able. Mainly, the plan is to enjoy a stress-free life to the fullest. With Tom, you always knew where he stood. He was respected by clients and colleagues alike and he will be missed in our business by many. Bay & Delta Yachtsman as a whole, wishes him luck in this next chapter of life. As a close friend for 22 years I will miss working with Tom but wish him the best of luck as well.
