26 • 24th PICYA Margot Brown Wheelchair Regatta (Canceled as per the letter from the PICYA Board). Dear All, It is with deep sadness that I share with you the results of the PICYA Board’s decision to cancel this year’s Wheelchair Regatta. We had been planning to hold the 24th MBWCR on SAT, 26SEP at the Encinal Yacht Club, but the uncertainty of Covid-19 has made it necessary to cancel. Having 600-800 people at the event would make it very difficult to manage health-wise. We had hoped to wait until the first of SEP to determine the fate of the event as it is one of the high points for our veterans, but all indications are that the health issues will still be a concern for months to come. Many thanks for your participation in the past. Let us all keep good thoughts for our veterans through this virus. Please keep us in mind for SAT, 25 SEP 2021. The actual 25th Anniversary of the WCR! Sincerely, Fred Rutledge, Staff Commodore, PICYA – MBWCR Co-Chair. For more info visit www.picya.org
