Seasucker Ends Transducer Mounting Issues

Most boat owners shy away from drilling into their hull, even for gear that’ll be used every time they’re on the water. That’s what makes the new Transducer Mount from SeaSucker so unbeatable. It temporarily secures a sonar transducer to any non-porous surface with 240 pounds of holding strength – more than enough to use when running at speed.

The Transducer Mount has a rugged 16-inch marine-grade anodized aluminum rail that allows it to be customized for virtually any transducer screw pattern. It secures with two 4.5-inch SeaSucker Vacuum Mounts. The device will maintain its hold for days. When it’s time to recharge the mounts, the power bars will display orange. Then it’s simply a matter of a few quick pumps to renew its grip.

Unlike permanently mounted gear, the SeaSucker Transducer Mount is easy to relocate. This makes it ideal to place it in the perfect scanning location for optimal echo reception. Plus, it quickly removes for use on another boat or to store for trailering or theft-deterrence. The SeaSucker Transducer Mount costs $119.

Smell That? It’s Time For Sani/Flex

Marine sanitation hose has a distinctive way of letting boat owners know it needs replacing. Raritan makes this unwelcome task easy with Sani/Flex Odor Shield Marine Hose. The 1.5-inch and 1-inch hose is incredibly flexible and bends around tight corners without kinking, so installation is fast and painless.

Sani/Flex Odor Shield hose is manufactured from a premium butyl rubber compound for maximum odor airtightness. Backed by Raritan’s 10-year warranty against odor permeation, it’s 15 times more resistant to emitting noxious smells than PVC.

Reinforced with double helix steel wire and synthetic textile yarn, Raritan Sani/Flex Odor Shield hose is strong. It has a maximum pressure value of 105 psi, a 315 psi burst rating, and is extremely resistant to collapsing from pump suction. The vanilla-scented white outer layer is resistant to abrasion, ozone and seawater, and is antibacterial. Inside, it’s smooth-walled for maximum, uninterrupted flow and easy fitting.

Raritan 1.5-inch Sani/Flex Odor Shield hose weighs 0.6 lb./ft. and has a bend radius of 3.15 inches. The 1-inch hose weighs 0.35 lb./ft. and will bend to a radius of 1.97 inches. The 1.5-inch version costs $17 per foot; the 1-inch style is $15.75 per foot.

Dry Boats Like The Pros – Before Water Spots Develop

As soon as professional boat detailers finish rinsing a surface, they remove water droplets before they can dry and turn into mineral deposits. And, more often than not, they’re using a Flexible Water Blade from Shurhold. This professional tool quickly sheets water away from gelcoat, paint and glass to leave a clean, spot-free surface – all without backbreaking labor and mounds of wet towels or chamois to deal with.

With its soft silicone edge, the 12-inch Flexible Water Blade molds itself to curved shapes and surfaces. While ruggedly built to glide over sharp edges, it won’t damage vinyl and touchscreen surfaces. The full-length handle is ergonomically shaped for comfort and maximum control.

Using the Flexible Water Blade is simply a matter of drawing the blade across the wet surface at an angle. For areas out of arm’s reach, it snaps into the available Flexible Water Blade Adapter that attaches to any Shurhold fixed or telescoping handle. Shurhold’s Flexible Water Blade costs $29.98; the Adapter is $14.98.

Inventor of the One-Handle-Does-It-All-System, Shurhold is the leading manufacturer of professional-grade detailing supplies that help clean, polish and protect vessels. Dedicated to educating boat owners, Shurhold provides key tips for boat value preservation at www.shurhold.com
