29 • 16th Annual Diamond Classic Catch & Release Sturgeon Derby, (This date is Tentative at this point. Make sure to check with the Martinez Marina beforehand.) 12 – 20 • Pier 39’s Tulipmania, Pier 39, San Francisco, CA. Tulipmania returns in full bloom at Pier 39 with guided tours daily at 10 a.m. This year’s collection will feature flowers of every color combination conceivable including Apricot Beauties, Texas Flames, Purple Princes, Flaming Parrots, Swan Wings, Burgundy Lace and more. 23 – Annual Golden Gate Bullship Races, hosted by the Golden Gate Yacht Club is an annual event which takes place using the famed El Toro sailboats. The goal that Eric Jones and his crew of Valor stive to achieve is not just the one day but rather the foundation, to further assist those in need to recover fully and return to a way of life prior to the individual’s stressful or traumatic event. Their ocean-themed programs and activities aim to help veterans, firefighters, health care workers, law enforcement, under-privileged youth, families of those affected by suicide and anyone else struggling with physical or emotional wounds.
