Letters

Hello Jackie,

My name is Molly and I work for the company that prints your fine magazine. I’ve been mulling over whether or not to drop you a line. (Get it?!!!)

I have been reading your articles since you took over and I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy them. You always make me laugh, and even though I don’t know anything about boats I feel like I live vicariously through your stories.

I decided to finally write, because this month’s magazine was just sent to us and I always look forward to your articles.

What a splendid trip you had, and I loved that you took the time to interview Anna and Camille while on such a fabulous vacation.

Thanks for “sailing” me around the Delta!

Best,
Molly

Hi Molly,

Thank you for your letter. The idea of making you laugh? SO much fun! And I’m glad that you find the column accessible to a nonboater. I do try my best to write that way.

Yes, my trip to Europe was splendid, and this morning I even received a letter from Anna Engler, who was interviewed in Harlingen, Netherlands. Here is a photo she sent of her little boat underway.

Regards to you. Next time you are in the Bay Area call ahead and we’ll go out sailing. Winter is a good time to sail for someone new to boats on the water.

Regards,
Jackie
