Traveling via the “asphalt-slough” this past Sunday, 40-plus members of the Stockton Yacht Club and guests gathered at the club’s first outing of the new year for lunch at the King Island Bar & Grill in Stockton.

Among the guests was good friend Blair Hake who heard there’d be a “party going on” and “just happened to stop by” to check out the festivities.

The club’s 2024 Commodore, Bill Thompson, welcomed the gathering as members were spread throughout the entire restaurant.

The small but very mighty King Island Bar & Grill team outdid themselves to serve food and beverages to the entire throng.

Thanks for the note. It is good to see the Stockton Yacht Club on the move early in the season. Check out Blair’s report in the Delta Rat Scrapbook. You and Blair are a couple of sharp dressed dudes. Sue and I have dined at the King Island Bar & Grill. It is an excellent restaurant and easy to get to by car or boat. We hope to see you folks soon.
