Low Flush-Volume Toilet Saves Onboard Water

Whether near the coast or far offshore, potable water is a precious resource on a boat. SeaEra QC Electric Macerating Toilets from Raritan Engineering help conserve this: they can flush using only a quart. An innovative SeaFresh option even enables operation with raw seawater.

Made in the USA, the SeaEra QC is available in two configurations. On the Remote Intake Pump version, the intake pump is installed away from the toilet for noise reduction, and easier access to the unit. The Freshwater Solenoid model uses the vessel’s pressurized water system and employs a vacuum break for WhisperFlush™ operation. Also, the SeaEra QC can further conserve onboard water supplies by adding the SeaFresh option, enabling changing to raw seawater flushing with the flip of a switch.

SeaEra QC toilets come in two sizes: a household model that stands a full 14.875-inch H x 20-inch L with a 14.375-inch W seat, or the slightly more compact marine version that’s 14.5-inches H x 17.25-inches L with a 13-inches W seat. Both feature a small 14.25-inch x 9.5-inch base that rotates in 90° increments for oddly-shaped spaces that challenge other toilet installations. A video is at www.bit.ly/RaritanSeaEra

The SeaEra QC offers multiple flush control options. Both the Smart Toilet Control and the Multifunction Flush Panel provide a wide range of choices to add or remove water from the bowl. The Momentary Flush Switch is a simple, economical alternative. Available in 12V, 24V or 32V DC or 120/240V AC, the Raritan SeaEra QC Electric Macerating Toilet starts at $1,175. For those wanting basic electric toilet functions, Raritan offers the original SeaEra with a single motor operating both the intake and discharge via a simple pushbutton; it starts at $900.

Cleaner & Conditioner Restores Marine Upholstery

Tired, faded upholstery tends to make boats appear older than they are. With Vinyl and Leather Cleaner & Conditioner from Iosso Products, it’s easy to restore the appearance of a wide range of marine materials. This versatile product also protects against the ravages of UV rays, ozone, suntan lotion, dirt, grime and environmental extremes.

Vinyl and Leather Cleaner & Conditioner is a unique blend of natural oils that cleans and conditions in one easy step. It restores sheen and suppleness to colored marine vinyl, isinglass, plastic, leather and rubber, and makes surface scratches less visible. It’s also the ideal product for renovating RV and classic car upholstery, and heavy-duty commercial and outdoor seating.

Using the formula is simple. It’s sprayed onto the surface and wiped with a clean, lint-free cloth or microfiber towel. Light buffing provides a glossy sheen that not only looks good but helps the material resist damage from rain, salt spray and other contaminants. Iosso Vinyl and Leather Cleaner & Conditioner costs $4.95 for a 4 oz. spray bottle, $12.95 for 16 oz. and $65.95 for a gallon container.

Luxury RIB Tender Reflexts The Yacht It Serves

Many consider a tender a utilitarian means to an end—mere transportation. Argos Nautic’s view is that a RIB tender, such as its semi-custom GT14, is an emissary of the yacht it serves. With room for seven adults, the 13-foot, 10-inch outboard-powered vessel reflects the same levels of refined quality and luxurious comfort as its mothership.

With a 6-foot, 10-inch beam, its internal space rivals competing models that are as much as a foot longer, without sacrificing seating or storage. Extremely adaptable, the Argos Nautic can be configured to accommodate five or seven passengers without compromising ergonomics or aesthetics.

Ideal as a tender for yachts ranging from 70-feet to 100-feet, the GT14 is only 925 lbs. fully rigged, making it suitable for storage on davits, swim platforms or on deck with a crane. With a stowed height of only 57-inches and a LOA of 15-feet with the engine mounted, it easily fits in most stern garages of vessels over 75-feet.

While renowned for its striking designs and quality construction, Argos Nautic has a passion for performance. With its standard 60 hp or optional 70hp outboard, the GT14 will top 30 mph and 36 mph, respectively. It delivers pulse-quickening acceleration and provides a sure-footed and dry ride, even in choppy water.

Well appointed, the Argos Nautic GT14 starts at $30,540.
