Stainless Steel Flip Covers Offer Unrivaled Protection

When it comes to durability in harsh marine environments, stainless steel is one material that holds its own. Hubbell Marine offers a dependable way to protect exterior power receptacles with its heavy-duty, weatherproof Stainless Steel Flip Covers.

For unrivaled corrosion and impact resistance, Hubbell Marine Stainless Steel Flip Covers are crafted from heavy-duty 316 stainless steel. A durable elastomer base gasket and an EVA back gasket ensure a lifetime of fully waterproof protection.

Two models are available, each offered in Duplex (HBLSS83R and HBLSS84X) or GFCI variants (HBLSS263R and HBLSS264X). Self-closing UL Type 3R covers, fully certified to be rain-tight and ice-resistant, are ideal for exposed spaces like boat cockpits, flybridges or pilothouse exteriors. For even more demanding applications such as commercial vessels or boatyards, UL Type 4X models feature a positive-latching cover. They’re certified to be completely watertight and dust-tight.

Versatile Hubbell Marine Stainless Steel Flip Covers accommodate horizontal or vertical mounting. The highly polished finish provides pleasing aesthetics, while the smooth exterior surface allows easy cleaning. Measuring just 4.85-inch W x 3.04-inch H, suggested retail prices start at $150.

Let It Rain: Iosso Stops Leaky Fabric Seams

Between needle holes, stretching due to wind and constant exposure to the weather, fabric seams will eventually leak. It’s easy to fix this problem with Iosso Seam Sealer. Easily applied, it creates an invisible barrier that seals-out water on boat and RV covers, biminis, awnings, tents, umbrellas and other outdoor gear.

Iosso Seam Sealer works on natural fabrics such as cotton duck and canvas, as well as modern acrylics, polyesters and coated synthetics. With certain types of seams, it’ll even seal vinyl and vinyl laminates.

Unlike some products, Seam Sealer doesn’t contain silicone. It won’t change the color of the fabric, nor stiffen it.

Seam Sealer is simple to use. The 4 oz. bottle has a built-in sponge applicator. After running across both sides of the seam to the point of saturation, it’s left to dry for 24 hours. A quick touch-up can be applied anytime if the fabric has seen heavy use. Iosso Seam Sealer covers around 50-feet and costs $8.49.

Winterizing Is Fast And Easy With Beckson Pumps

Preparing a boat for winter storage involves moving a lot of liquids before the cover goes on. With Beckson Marine’s 109PC Siphon-Mate® Pump, removing the last remains of bilge, livewell and holding tank water, and other fluids is fast and easy. Add a 212PC Handy-Mate® Oil Change Pump, and removing and replacing engine coolant and oil is just as quick.

Self-priming Beckson pumps are non-metallic, so they’re safe to use around combustibles and they won’t scratch delicate finishes. Made from durable marine plastic, they won’t get sticky from corrosion, nor rust.

Beckson’s 109PC Siphon-Mate Pump is a safe alternative to starting a siphon by sucking on a tube. It acts as a positive displacement hand lift pump with valves and will siphon at a flow rate of 1 gal/min. through its supplied 8-feet of clear tubing. The pump is 11.5-inch L, and lifts 4 fl. oz. per stroke.

At only 12.75-inch long, the Beckson model 212PC Handy-Mate Oil Change Pump is compact for use in confined spaces. Impervious to diesel fuel and motor oil, it moves 8 fl. oz. with each stroke. The pump comes with two flexible red intake tubes, 22-inch L x .5-inch dia. and 36-inch L x .25-inch dia., and a 10-inch L x 1.25-inch dia. red discharge tube.

Beckson Marine’s 109PC Siphon-Mate Pump lists for $53.85. The 212PC Handy-Mate Oil Change Pump is $40.25.
