Seasuckers Newest Offering Really Shines

Utility lighting on a boat is rarely located where needed most, except when the new Heavy Duty Flashlight Mount from SeaSucker is on board. Secured to any dry, non-porous surface in seconds, its 7-inch gooseneck arm will shine the rechargeable LED lamp to the exact spot light is needed.

Made in the USA, the Heavy Duty Flashlight Mount uses a 4.5-inch SeaSucker Vacuum Mount that supports up to 120 lbs. While the flashlight doesn’t need this much holding power, it means the mount won’t shift or fall off at an inopportune time. But if the light needs to be readjusted or put away, it removes in seconds without leaving a mark.

The rechargeable 3.7V 1,500-lumen flashlight has three primary lens settings: high, low and strobe. Its convenient side lamp clicks through high or low white light, red and red strobe illumination choices.

Rugged and completely watertight, this versatile safety equipment and ideal accessory works on any size boat, above or below decks. The SeaSucker Heavy Duty Flashlight Mount costs $99 and comes with a wrist lanyard and micro-USB charging cable.

100A Cable Sets Enhance Yacht Electrical Safety

As luxury vessels add more onboard amenities, so grows the demand for greater levels of electricity. While yachts are docked, Hubbell Marine 100 amp Cable Sets help safely deliver all the power that feature-rich vessels require, in a durable and reliable design.

As the first company that offered 100A marine-grade pin-and-sleeve devices, Hubbell helped establish today’s safety standards for high power systems with the National Electric Code and the American Boat & Yacht Council. To combat harsh, corrosive marine environments, each 100A shore power cable set features stainless steel housing screws, while couplings use a high impact thermoset contact carrier to resist arcing and heat. Nickel-plated, solid brass pins assure long service life and reliable electrical contacts.

UL- and CSA-listed housings feature a super-tough nylon construction for exceptional safety and durability. A gasketed locking ring provides water-tight connections in use. Special keying facilitates proper connector alignment, while massive external cable grips protect the wire against conductor movement which can lead to strain on the terminals.

Hubbell 100A Cable Sets utilize a special compound cable in 3-, 4- or 5-wire configurations, available in white or yellow finishes in lengths from 75 feet to 125 feet. MSRP starts at $6,196. Hubbell also offers models that pair with an isolation transformer or a cable winch system.

Wiper Components Ensure Smear-Free Visibility

Whether in coastal waters or on an ocean crossing, vessels are required to maintain a proper lookout. In rainy conditions, Heavy Duty Wipers and Arms from Schmitt Marine keep windshields clear and smear-free for maximum visibility. NMMA-certified and CE-marked, they’re ideal for commercial and recreational use.

Schmitt Marine offers two models of wiper motors: The standard black Heavy Duty Wiper Motor that delivers 8.5-foot lb. of torque and the white IP66 Heavy Duty Waterproof Wiper Motor that provides 11-foot lb. The motors are available in 12V or 24V and are EMC protected, meaning that they won’t affect the operation of onboard magnetic and electronic navigation equipment and communication devices.

The two-speed motors feature stainless steel 1.5-inch, 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch shafts with chrome-plated brass shaft housings for reliability. The rugged powder-coated aluminum enclosures provide a long, reliable service life. Wiper sweep is adjustable between 40-100 degrees with a left or right park. The motors will power up to a 24-inch arm and blade combination. This makes them ideal for refit and OEM use.

Schmitt Marine Wiper Arms are available in a wide range of styles to match virtually any marine windshield. They’re offered with flat, standard and adjustable J-hook tip styles in one-piece and pantograph versions.

Black powder-coated stainless steel arms with heavy-duty stainless steel springs ensure lasting durability. With .625-inch shafts, they’re available in sizes 12-inches to 18-inches and 19-inches to 24-inches.

For over 60 years, Schmitt Marine has manufactured premium quality marine steering wheels, horns, wiper systems, control arms and related accessories. Its products are backed with some of the strongest warranties in the industry.
