New Model Marine Elegance Toilet, Larger, More Comfortable
Since its introduction, the Marine Elegance™ has been a benchmark of reliable, superior-quality marine electric toilets. New for 2022, Raritan Engineering has introduced a Comfort Height Elongated Bowl version. Retaining all the outstanding features and modern styling of the original model, it now adds a level of comfort and powerful flushing typically associated with residential toilets.
The Marine Elegance Comfort Height Elongated Bowl is made from gleaming and easy-to-clean white vitreous china. Hidden hardware preserves its clean, modern appearance. The 14.5-inch W x 21.625-inch L seat with soft-close lid is a comfortable 16.5-inch off the floor. This not only delivers the ultimate in comfort, but makes it easier to get on and off, and steady oneself while the boat is moving.
Three plumbing configurations are available with the toilet. The Remote Pump model allows the user to draw in outside water for flushing. With the Pressurized Water Model, the Marine Elegance Comfort Height Elongated Bowl toilet uses water with a minimum pressure/flow of 5 gpm and a maximum pressure of 150 psi. The SeaFresh option allows users to change between onboard freshwater or outside raw water with the flip of a switch. Exceptionally quiet at a mere 63dB, a powerful, yet low-power internal shredder with stainless steel blades virtually eliminates clogging.
The Marine Elegance Comfort Height Elongated Bowl has four flush options. With the Smart Handle, a residential-style side lever provides timed operation and independent control of water and discharge by pushing or pulling. The wall-mounted Smart Toilet Control is fully programmable to optimize water use; adding the Wireless Remote Bluetooth Control eliminates wiring through bulkheads and cabinetry, plus programming can be done up to 50’ away. Raritan’s Multifunction Flush Panel enables momentary operation of fill, flush and discharge.
Available in 12V, 24V and 120/240V AC, the toilet is straightforward to install. The device has a flat back and a 10.25-inch W x 16.5-inch D footprint, and an overall size of 21.625-inch L x 14.5-inch W x 18.5-inch H. Raritan’s Marine Elegance Comfort Height Elongated Bowl toilet has an MSRP of $1,595.
Additive Protects Against Moisture-Related Engine Problems
Whether on a boat, RV or UTV, engine failure due to condensation in the gasoline will ruin anyone’s day outdoors. Using GAS-SHOK™ Plus from USA Fuel Service is the easy way to protect two- and four-strokes against moisture-related problems, plus boost performance without affecting warranties.
Made in the USA, GAS-SHOK Plus will keep the fuel fresh, stabilizing it for up to 18 months. It’s formulated for use with both pure gasoline and moisture-prone ethanol blends. After adding to the tank, GAS-SHOK Plus attaches itself to the water molecules so they burn off as steam during combustion – with no loss of power.
As GAS-SHOK Plus is used it acts as an engine lubricant for fuel injectors and pumps. It protects rings and valves against gum and varnish accumulation. This restores the engine’s fuel economy that has been lost to carbon fouling. The formula contains no alcohol or acid so it won’t damage or reduce the service life of rubber hoses, fibrous gaskets and other non-metal components. A video showing how it removes water from fuel is at www.bit.ly/GAS-SHOK
GAS-SHOK Plus is simply added to the fuel tank at a ratio of one ounce per 10 gallons of gasoline. An 8 oz. bottle of USA Fuel Service GAS-SHOK Plus costs $18.85; 32 oz. is $47.20; and one gal. runs $139.60.
Fix Repair Putty Is An Easy Resoration Solution
Many people know that heartbreaking feeling when their boat hits a rock or something heavy falls onto the deck. The result can be anything from a chip in the gelcoat to crushed fiberglass matting. Fix Repair Putty from BoatLIFE. Formulated specifically for marine use, it’s ideal for powerboats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks and other watercraft.
BoatLIFE Fix Repair Putty is an easy-to-use moldable putty that hardens like steel. It bonds to fiberglass, wood, metal, glass and concrete, and can even be used underwater. Because it doesn’t sag, it can be applied on angled, vertical and overhead surfaces. After curing for 24 hours, the high-strength material can be drilled, sanded, painted and tapped to accommodate a bolt. Using Fix Repair Putty is simple. A two-part formula, a 4:1 ratio of part A is mixed with part B. When sufficiently blended, the blue tint disappears; the putty dries white. A 3 oz. jar of BoatLIFE Fix Repair Putty costs $26.88; 16 oz. is $53.27.
