Dock Blocks Configurator Tool Named As A Top 2021 Boating Product

Dock Blocks, the leading manufacturer of floating modular docks, introduces its Configurator tool, which has been recognized by Boating Industry as a 2021 Top Product.

The innovative Configurator tool generates 3D renderings of custom docks via CAD files, allowing for even the most unique of custom designs to be brought to life and showcased in realistic form to the customer.

“The Configurator tool is a part of our commitment to a superior experience for customers and installers alike,” said Matt West, CEO of Dock Blocks. “We’re honored it was selected as a top product and look forward to continued innovation.”

Uniquely included in the tool is the ability to rotate the dock to any degree, so that the highest possible precision and review can be achieved. Another significant feature of the Configurator tool is automatic calculation of the materials needed to craft custom dock builds.

The Configurator tool makes custom dock building for both residential and commercial customers significantly more intuitive, easier, and faster while also being able to showcase designs like never before. The Dock Blocks team effectively has been able to transform the process for designing and constructing custom, floating docks.

From Grimey To Shiny In One Easy Step

When constantly exposed to the weather, boats, PWC and fiberglass canoes and kayaks can get pretty grimy. Colored hulls turn chalky and white ones just look dirty. With Fiberglass Reconditioner from Iosso Products, it’s easy for DIYers and professionals alike to restore gelcoat’s showroom shine in one easy step and protect it for months to come.

Unlike some products, Fiberglass Reconditioner doesn’t contain silicone so it won’t affect future refinishing. The unique formula removes oxidation, waterline scum, exhaust stains and rust bleeding; on trailered boats it tackles stubborn oil and road tar too. As it cleans, the gelcoat’s rich, deep color is restored. Iosso Fiberglass Reconditioner provides a brilliant protective coating so durable, it doesn’t need a top coat of wax. It’ll even bring back the shine to metal trim, rails, stanchions and ladders. The concentrated formula is so effective, a one-pound container is sufficient for a 30-foot hull, from the waterline to the deck.

A one-step product, Fiberglass Reconditioner is brushed on to the surface in small sections. The paste is then buffed by hand or machine in an overlapping pattern while still moist. The final step is to wipe with a soft cloth. A video is at bit.ly/FiberglassReconditioner. A one-pound jar of Iosso Fiberglass Reconditioner costs $23; a five-pound pail is $85.45.

Pull-Up Cleat Covers Previous Install Holes

Boat owners are often hesitant to upgrade to the convenience of a pull-up cleat due to the unsightly look of filled holes or a rough edge from an old cut-out. For them, a 305 series Wide-Line Cleat from Accon Marine is perfect. Offering a sleek, low-profile appearance, its flanged base is slightly oversized to cover previous installations.

Made from polished marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the Wide-Line Cleat is simple to use. Precision manufacturing allows the horns to easily glide upwards smoothly and without play. When finished, it depresses back into the base for a snag-free contour. It’s available in four sizes: 4.5-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch, for .375-inch, .625-inch, .75-inch and 1-inch line, respectively.

The Accon Wide-Line Cleat is bottom-mounted using welded stainless steel threaded studs. Not only is this mounting method exceptionally strong, but it also provides for a neat and clean topside appearance. The included .125-inch thick backing plate doubles as a cut-out template. Installation requires drilling two center holes and a single saw cut.

Suggested retail prices for Accon Marine 305 series Wide-Line Cleats are $86.13 for the 4.5-inchmodel, $98.12 for the 6-inch version, $154.99 for the 8-inch cleat and $241.54 for the 10-inch model. Optional waterproofing cups to prevent runoff below deck start at $11.99.
